What to Expect

Healing Timeline Week by Week

Day 1–3
Swelling & Soreness Peak

Mild bleeding, swelling, and soreness are normal. Cold compress and prescribed medication keep this manageable.

Week 1
Surgical Site Settles

Swelling reduces noticeably. Stitches (if used) are typically removed or dissolve around day 7–10.

Week 2–4
Soft Tissue Heals

The gum around the implant heals fully. You can return to a near-normal diet and routine.

Month 2–4
Osseointegration

The implant fuses with the jawbone — the critical phase that determines long-term success.

Final Step
Crown Placement

Once fusion is confirmed, your custom crown is fitted and your treatment is complete.

Diet Guidance

What You Can and Can't Eat

✓ First 3–5 Days

Yogurt, mashed vegetables, soups, smoothies, scrambled eggs, well-cooked dal — soft, cool, low-effort foods.

✗ Avoid Until Healed

Hot or spicy food, crunchy or chewy items, alcohol, carbonated drinks, and using a straw (suction can disturb healing).

When to Call Us

Signs of a Problem

Call us if you notice: severe or worsening pain after day 3, swelling that persists beyond a week, fever, pus or unusual discharge, or the implant feeling loose. These can indicate infection or implant failure and need prompt attention — don't wait it out.

If you're experiencing any of these, call +91 78756 17480 directly rather than waiting for your next scheduled visit.

Soft, cool foods for the first 3 to 5 days — yogurt, mashed vegetables, soups, smoothies. Avoid hot, spicy, crunchy, or chewy foods and alcohol until healed, then gradually return to normal eating over 2 weeks.
